Our Mission
At Alpha House, we are dedicated to fostering a supportive community for self-identified men, non-binary individuals, and trans males aged 18 and up who are navigating the challenges of mental health and addiction recovery. We believe that true recovery must encompass all aspects of an individual—physical, mental, spiritual, and social. Our comprehensive programs are designed to support each person's unique journey toward healing from addiction.

Our Vision
Alpha House offers a 4-month post-treatment residential program aimed at facilitating reintegration into society. We provide educational and vocational counselling alongside 24-hour addiction and mental health support, equipping our clients with essential relapse prevention tools for sustainable recovery.

Alpha House is recognized as a second-stage treatment facility where clients have the freedom to work and typically achieve a stable life before admission. Our program empowers residents to support their recovery through a variety of self-selected modalities, ensuring a personalized approach to their healing journey.

Our program boasts a 71.4% success rate based on two years of abstinence post-treatment, reflecting our commitment to effective recovery.


Land Acknowledgment

Alpha House is located on the traditional territory and Treaty Lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. We recognize that this land is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit and the Williams Treaty. This area is also known as Tkaronto.
